Irische Lehrerinnen überbrücken Corona im Schwarzwald
Mit der Europalehramtsstudentin Cliodhna Reynolds und der Englischlehrerin Lynda Cullen arbeiten an der Grund- und Werkrealschule Villingendorf derzeit gleich zwei Irinnen. Sie engagieren sich bei den „Lernbrücken“, einem Nachhilfeprogramm des Kultusministeriums Baden-Württemberg, welches helfen soll, die Wissenslücken aus der Corona-Zeit zu schließen. Die Villingendorfer Schule hat eine große Affinität zu Irland und hält mit der Irlandklasse ein vielfach preisgekröntes Unterrichtsprojekt vor, welches den Kindern der siebten Klassenstufe eine mit einer eigenen Schülerfirma finanzierten Reise nach Irland ermöglicht. Bedingt durch Corona sind diese Reisen seit zwei Jahren ausgesetzt, werden aber unbedingt nachgeholt. Immerhin kommt mit den Lehrkräften Cullen und Reynolds Irland in den Schwarzwald, wenn der Schwarzwald nicht auf die grüne Insel darf.
Irish teachers bridge the Corona gap in the Black Forest
With student Cliodhna Reynolds and the English teacher Lynda Cullen two Irish citizens work at GWRS Villingendorf at the moment. They are engaged in the“Lernbrücken”, an extra-tuition program of the ministry of culture in Baden-Württemberg. This program is supposed to fill the gaps of the Corona times. The school in Villingendorf has a great affinity with Ireland. The so called “Irlandklasse”, an award-winning project allows the students of class 7 a trip to Ireland. But the trip is self-financed through their own business ventures. Unfortunately, the last two trips were postponed due to Corona but they will made up for in the future. And so with Cullen and Reynolds Ireland comes to the Black forest if the Black forest can´t come to Ireland.
